High Fidelity Magic Spell presents a ritual performed by two gods trying to revive humanity, taking place in a dystopian society destroyed by the division between those who manage information and those who have no access to truth. The central object in the ritual is a materialized Chinese idiom "一五一十 (Yi Wu Yi Shi)", or literally "one five one ten." It originally refers to the act of counting by five or ten, which is extended to mean "to tell things as they are, truthfully and thoroughly." It is a very ideal state that is difficult to achieve, and in this sense it turns into a myth in itself. It is an attempt to be an ambiguous reflection on truth, history, media, and information from shifting perspectives ranging from pseudo-science to eastern philosophy.
作品《高保真神咒》在影像里构建了一个净土世界与秽土世界相互重叠的虚拟空间。在秽土世界中，基于真假信息买卖形成的信息经济，在一段时间的繁荣后崩塌并引发战争，最终使得人类社会全面毁灭。在多重时空中，两个神话角色，边进行着他们的工作——用一场仪式挽救人类，边以游离于虚实之间的方式谈论着人类世界的这场灾难。叙事中作为仪式器物的，是一个实体化的词语“一五一十”。这个外形极简、字面意思模糊、含义可望不可及的词语，在影片中成为符咒和图腾，被赋予召唤真相的魔力，由此带出一段关于信息与真实的讨论。
